Water is an important component of every living organism. Whether it is plants, animals or us human water is essential to sustain our life. The human being is widely dependent on water for drinking, cooking, cleaning and many more. But, we need pure water rather than impure or contaminated water for living a healthy life. 

The water reaches us mainly by Municipal Corporation but its source is likely to be unknown. Water bodies like lakes, oceans, and rivers are getting contaminated by the increase of industries, pesticides, and insecticides that get mixed with the water bodies and comes to the water we get at home. However, even if the water is treated before reaching us can still be contaminated or have invisible viruses and bacteria. To control this we have to depend on technology like water purifiers that provide us pure water. DIFFERENT KINDS OF WATER PURIFIER

RO PURIFICATION: RO purification known as reverse osmosis is commonly used for water purification. The RO uses a membrane technology that can eliminate impurities, germs and dissolved salt from water. If your tap water contains is high in TDS (Total Dissolved Solids), then RO purification should be the first thing on your list. The RO purification has a semi membrane that can separate germs and dissolved chemicals. The membrane has fine pores that allow the purified water to pass through while it collects the microbes, harmful chemicals and dissolved salt to stay suspended in water.

ULTRA FILTRATION: is a membrane filtration that is similar to Reverse Osmosis commonly known as RO water purifier. Ultrafiltration uses hydrostatic pressure to force water to pass through the semi-permeable membrane. The pore size is 103-106 Daltons. It is a pressure-driven barrier to suspended solids, viruses, bacteria and pathogens. It produces water with high purity and low slit density. It is best suited for municipal water supply and water with low TDS.

ACTIVATED CARBON: They use the carbon filters to remove pesticides, herbicides, chlorine, radon, and other chemical compounds. The filters are rated by the size of the particle which is measured in microns that can remove the organic compounds.

ULTRAVIOLET: The water purifier uses UV rays to remove viruses and bacteria present in our drinking water. The UV purification is also known as e-boiling purification. The UV light kills all the germs, viruses, bacteria, cysts and microbes present in the water.  The simple strategy can kill up to 99.99% of the harmful organisms.

GRAVITY BASED: These water purifiers are budget-friendly, non-electric purifiers. They work well if you get soft water or the TDS level in water is less. Gravity based water purifiers can remove sand, dirt, dust and can effectively eliminate bacteria, viruses, and parasites from water.  It does not help to convert the hard water to soft water.

ALKALINE OR WATER IONIZERS: This water purifiers use the process called electrolysis. Here, the water passes through plates that are charged electrically. This purification method provides us soft water.
