What are negative growth hormone effects???

Growth hormone is produced in the pituitary gland and is responsible for the overall growth and development of an individual. There could be a deficiency of growth hormone because of the improper functioning of the pituitary gland. The improper functioning of the pituitary gland takes place because of any trauma, an accident, a disease or any genetic condition. In order to overcome this deficiency and for medical treatment, the growth hormone therapy is suggested to the children or adults, who are going through this deficiency as a result of a disease or injury to the brain or pituitary gland.


This therapy is being used by the medical communities around the world. This therapy cannot be used for non-medical use including the enhancement in the performance of an athlete or bodybuilders. This is because of the negative growth hormone effects that are much more than its benefits. The growth hormone is mainly associated with the stature or height occurring in spurts during adolescence and childhood. This hormone is responsible and takes part in several processes and activities  of the body.

The negative growth hormone effects are mild and temporary in nature, as compared to other steroids, whose effects are long lasting and more serious. The athletes using this drug illegally take it in higher dosage than recommended. Sometimes, the high level of growth hormone leads to Acromegaly, which cannot be cured.

If this Acromegaly left untreated, it may also lead to a permanent damage to the pituitary gland. Some of the individuals experience development of lung issues, whereas a few individuals go through joint problems.
